 How We Met
Cynthia and Jamont were introduced in 2002 by a good friend. Their first formal encounter was lunch in San Francisco on March 1, 2002. That first encounter soon turned into a first date. On that first date, Jamont was quite the gentleman and Cynthia was particularly impressed with his knowledge and passion for politics. Jamont thought Cynthia was very intelligent and loved the way her eyes lit up when she smiled. The rest, as they say, is history!
Cynthia and Jamont are truly Yin and Yang -- Complementary, Opposite Forces that have come together as one.

 The Engagement--November 28, 2003
On Friday, November 28, 2003, Jamont convinced Cynthia that their trip to the Macys Union Square Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony was routine. Moments after the tree lit up the Square, Cynthia was shocked to find Jamont on one knee with ring in hand. A witness to the proposal and acceptance took the picture above.
On December 14, 2003 over 100 family members and friends joined us to celebrate our engagement. Special thanks to everyone who attended the engagement party and those who were there in spirit. To see pictures from the celebration, click on "Photos" to the left.
